Celebrating Diversity at Lansdowne Green

Chequers got involved in the festivities at Lansdowne Green last weekend to celebrate diversity in the community!

The annual International Day held at Lansdowne Green was held by our client Optivo, and saw residents, contractors and housing officers come together in a day of good food, good music and community cohesion.

Colourful costumes were worn and many residents served tasty food, from countries around the world, including Eritrea and Ethiopia.

Our representatives on the day were there running competitions and offering free giveaways to residents. Mark, a Contract Manager in our grounds maintenance department even got involved with a spot of Zumba!

Our contract managers were also on hand to discuss the cleaning and grounds maintenance services we provide on-site and how we can improve and help residents further.

Musical acts and dancers put on amazing performances at the event in Stockwell which celebrated different countries from across the globe.

The Mayor of Lambeth, Marcia Cameron was also in attendance to show her support.

This is the fifth year the event has been held, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s celebrations!
