Chequers Elves Raise Some Money For Charity

Chequers staff got into the festive mood for a good cause last week by taking part in Elf Day, which is organised by the Alzheimer’s Society each year.

Our elfployees donned the green and red, complete with elf ears to raise money for the charity!

As part of the fundraising efforts a number of people baked a selection of festive cakes for the occasion which we sold on the day.

To help spread awareness of The Alzheimer’s Society’s work our Dementia Champion and CEO, Rosaleen Liard, held a Dementia Awareness Session on the day.

These sessions give participants an understanding of the issues that face people living with dementia, and informs them of the small ways they can help. As a result we created 4 new Dementia Friends at Chequers.

Thanks to the generosity of those who bought cakes from the bake sale, and took part in one of our competitions, we managed to raise over £180 for The Alzheimer’s Society.

We would like to thank everyone who took part!
