Chequers Contract Services Ltd are thrilled to have been announced as Finalists in the National Family Business Awards 2019 in the Construction & Property category.
The National Family Business Awards were founded 10 years ago by Family Business Place. They recognise and celebrate the extraordinary 4.8 million entrepreneurial families who have dedicated their lives to building successful businesses and providing stable jobs to local people. From second generation manufacturers in Scotland to fifth generation construction firms in London, the awards showcase over 100 finalists from all four corners of the UK and Ireland.
The finalists will now go head to head across 10 categories, judged by an independent panel with the winners to be announced at Wembley Stadium on 13th July at the spectacular 10th anniversary celebration of the awards.
Chairman Gary Jeal said: “We are so proud to be recognised for such a prestigious award. We are proud to be a family owned and family run business in today’s society. We believe that a large part of being a family business is based upon the core family values of trust, respect for people, emphasis on quality, social responsibility and support for the community. I started the business back in 1987 with my brother Paul and our company now employs 11 family members, including 4 second generation family members now being introduced and built up through the ranks. We are up against stiff competition on the night but a win would be incredible”.
